On December 4, 2019, at 9:17 PM, officers with the Cedar Falls Police were dispatched to 112 Main Street #2 on a shots fire call. When officers arrived on scene they learned that a male had been shot. The suspect(s) fled the area before officers arrived. The male, whose identity is not be released at this time pending notification of next of kin, was found in the apartment deceased. The investigation into the incident is on-going. At the time of this release police believe that the public is not in danger. Further press releases will be done at a later time.
