Planning is underway to identify options and a recommendation for the Main Street Parkade sidewalk design including expansion of that along several side streets. The City of Cedar Falls will hold a Public Informational Meeting to discuss sidewalk design options and see material options.
All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with a brief presentation planned at 5:15 p.m. followed by a time for questions and answers. The meeting will be held at the Community Center, 528 Main Street.
Following this public meeting a design will be presented at a Council Committee of the Whole meeting. At that point, construction plans will start for the first phase of the project: a 2-block reconstruction of the sidewalk in 2020. This work will also expand into several side streets in the upcoming years.
